First Communion in Tel Aviv 2025

On Saturday (07.06.25) thirty children from Tel Aviv for the first time fully participated in the Eucharist. Prepared by fr. Igino, the children celebrated with their parents the great joy of the First Communion.

From September, a group of children participated in catechism classes led by Fr. Igino from the Community of Haifa, who traveled every second week to teach in Tel Aviv. The catechism classes for another group are guided by Br. Luca, and there is a youth group that meets with Monica and Danielle. Every year, two Salesian brothers help us by playing games with the children.

The celebration of the First Communion was beautifully prepared by Beah and a group of parents. The children were dressed in white. Fr. Piotr, the Vicar of St. James, presided over the Holy Mass. In his homily, he reminded the children that the gift of the Eucharist is the best help for the difficulties of life. He invited the parents to collaborate with the structures of St. James in the religious education of children by participating in various activities like camps, meetings, classes, etc.

After the Mass, everyone was invited to a great barbeque feast on the street.

Big thanks to all who prepared this wonderful celebration.
