Summer Children Camp in Tiberias, August 2025

Four days (August 3-6) filled with joy, laughter, prayer, and unforgettable moments that is how we will remember our Children’s Camo. 54 joined in at the welcoming Casa Nova Guesthouse, right by the Sea of Galilee, to experience the theme “Jesus Meets Children”.

Youth Camp Summer 2025 in Tiberias

From July 29 to August 1, 26 participants of St. James Vicariate from across the country gathered at the Sea of Galilee. We held our first-ever summer camp for young adults aged 17 to 20, a new step in our youth ministry journey. 

Youth Camp 2025 at Deir Rafat 

From July 14–17, 2025, 44 young people and leaders gathered at the Monastery of Deir Rafat for Chosen for Life, 4 meaningful days filled with friendship, creativity, faith, and unforgettable moments. For many, it was their very first camp experience.

Kaytana Pesach 2025

A truly unforgettable Pesach Kaytana from April 8th to 10th in Beit Noah (Tabgha) at the Sea of Galilee. Children in the age of 6-12 spent three days together with the teenage guides, some parents and the team of children-youth ministry.

Viola from Austria about Her Volunteering at the Kaytana

A young couple from Austria, Viola and Ali visited Israel and took part in the summer camp of the Vicariate (Kaytana). In the latest issue of "Kirchenfenster", a magazine of the Evangelic Parish in Ramsau am Dachstein, Viola wrote an article about her experience. Youth Summer Camp 2024 Kaytana

This summer (15-19.07), the youth of St James Vicariate embarked on a “Journey of Hope” at the Christian Youth Camp. Held in the beautiful and inspiring surroundings of the Monastery Deir Rafat, the camp was designed to instill hope and joy in the hearts of all participants through a variety of engaging activities. Younger Children Summer Camp 2023

The Summer Camp (Kaytana) for the children in age 6-12 took place in Deir Rafat on July 17th-20th (2023). About 20 children participated in this Kaytana. Here is the report of Danielle.

Older Children Summer Camp 2023

From July 10th to July 14th, 2023, a Summer Camp (Kaytana) was held in Deir Rafat. The participants were aged between 13 and 17, and approximately 50 children took part in this camp during the hottest days of the summer. The following is Danielle's report.

Trip to the Galilee and the First Communion in Tel Aviv

Easter Camp 2023

As during every Passover holiday, this year also there was a children camp. The camp was held in Deir Rafat for three days (10-12 April).

Hannukah Camp (Kaytana) December 2022

During the Hannukah vacation the kids of St. James participated in the Christmas Camp (Kaytana) in Deir Rafat. Twenty kids, twenty-seven youth and fourteen adults created together an amazing event just before Christmas. Deacon Igino reports:

Last summer the Desert Flower youth-group continued the journey with the musical Ruth which started in Austria in 2019.

Jesus Basketball Camp 2022

For the first time St. James Vicariate organized a basketball camp for children. With the help of the Desert Flower youth group members (Jessa, Justin and Jeremy) the kids played basketball during the Feast of Shavuot.

Easter Camp 2022

Every year, the week after Easter, a summer camp called in Hebrew: "kaytana" is held for kids and young people.
