Summer Children Camp in Tiberias, August 2025

Four days (August 3-6) filled with joy, laughter, prayer, and unforgettable moments that is how we will remember our Children’s Camo. 54 joined in at the welcoming Casa Nova Guesthouse, right by the Sea of Galilee, to experience the theme “Jesus Meets Children”.

From the very first day, the atmosphere was alive with creativity.

We shared many highlights:

Each child designed their own marionette, carefully choosing the colors, shaping the faces, and preparing for their role in the puppet theatre. As the days went by, scenes came to life through rehearsals, leading up to the joyful performances. On the final day, with the memories and impressions were put on canvas.

In the evenings we gathered for a movie with The Lion King, what a storyline!

A wonderfully refreshing day at the water park brought splashes, smiles, and sunshine.

Early one morning, we stepped aboard the Jesus Boat, gently gliding across the water as Fr. Roman led us in morning prayer and Fr. Igino leading the worship songs.

Additionally, an energetic sports session led by Prince and Adam filled the air with cheers and encouragement.

Our small groups created a warm sense of community, guided by dedicated leaders, Adam, Prince, Ezraela, Reigne, Rievyn, Kathleen and Cristina, whose patience and joy touched the children’s hearts. We are deeply grateful to Fr. Roman, Fr. Igino, and Fr. Andrej for supporting the youth leaders and to the entire Casa Nova team, who opened their doors with such generous hospitality.

A special blessing was the visit of Fr. Piotr, who was on two days with us. He led the official award ceremony for the puppet theatre, celebrated Holy Mass with beautiful music by Chiara and Cristina and focused us all to keep Jesus at the center of everything.

The times of morning and evening prayer were deeply moving. On the last evening, the children were blessed by the priests and then the children blessed one another, a simple, holy moment that will remain in our hearts. None of us wanted the week to end; many children wished for “just one more day.” The delicious meals nourished us, and the three parents who were be with us, Jomer, Macy, and Evelyn, worked tirelessly at the side of our cook Raba behind the scenes to make this camp possible.

Strolling along the Tiberias promenade with the children, we were surrounded by beauty, and by the certainty that Jesus' blessings had been poured out on us all.

Coordinated by Danielle and Monika, the Children’s Camp in Galilee was an encounter with God’s presence in the very place where Jesus walked, taught, and blessed.
