Prayer Under Fire

The war against Iran is a difficult experience for everyone in Israel. Alarms wake us up several times every night. We are terrified by the destruction and pray for the victims and the injured. Our faith gives us hope that peace will return to our country. We are grateful for all the prayers and words of support.

Since it is too dangerous to gather together, the members of the Kehillot pray on Zoom. Those who decide to come to church usually stay in a protected area. Almost all our churches and chapels have direct access to a shelter.

Some of the members who came to pray together expressed their thankfulness for being in the presence of others for a short moment of common prayer.

The situation does not allow for organizing gatherings and meetings, and the Vicar has officially dispensed the faithful from the Sunday obligation.

The priests remain available to everyone who needs any help and distribute Holy Communion during home visits.

We are grateful for all words of support and prayers.

Please, do not stop asking for PEACE.
