On Wednesday (28.05.25), the historic city of Jerusalem witnessed a remarkable event as people from various faiths came together for a March for Peace. This interreligious event saw the participation of numerous community leaders, including Fr. Piotr, the Vicar of St. James.

The March for Peace began at Zion Square and proceeded through Jaffa Street, eventually concluding at the Old City's Walls. This route symbolized unity and harmony among Jerusalem's diverse religious communities. Participants included representatives from Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and other faith traditions, all walking side by side in a powerful display of solidarity.

Fr. Piotr, addressed the crowd, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and understanding. "In a city as historically and spiritually significant as Jerusalem, it is vital that we come together to promote peace and coexistence," he said. His words resonated with many, highlighting the shared values that unite different faiths.

The march concluded at the Jaffa Gate, where participants offered prayers for peace. The event was not only a testament to the power of interfaith collaboration but also a hopeful reminder that, despite differences, the desire for peace is a common thread that binds humanity.

This March for Peace serves as an inspiring example of how communities can come together to build a more harmonious future. The presence of religious leaders underscores the critical role that faith communities play in promoting peace and understanding in Jerusalem and beyond.
