We have collected some beautiful songs in Hebrew (and in other languages) by Israeli (and other Jewish) singers. This is to mark the celebration of Israel's independence. Each song has its own link that will refer you to You Tube and the link will open a new page. Enjoy, pray for the peace of Israel and her neighbors and happy holiday...

On Sunday morning, July 31, 2016, the Pope arrived at the closing mass for the WYD in Cracow and Israeli singer, Noa, sang her well known song “Ave Maria”.

The Rana Choir sings the Hava Alberstein version of the Passover song “Had Gadya” for peace in Hebrew, Arabic, Aramaic and Yiddish.

A friend sent a clip to a video of Yossi Ganot and Arik Sinai singing a traditional Jewish prayer from “shaharit” (morning prayer) on Sabbath morning.

Rivka from the Jerusalem kehilla sent us the song of Meir Bannai, “Gate of Mercy” on the occasion of the beginning of the Year of Mercy.

A rabbi friend wishes us Merry Christmas with a song for a new born baby by Hava Alberstein.

T. from the Haifa kehilla compiled pictures with beautiful music that takes us on a trip around the country.

The 1998 animated film "Prince of Egypt" is an imaginative retelling of the story of Israel's Exodus from Egypt. Many fans of this film testify that it illuminated the Biblical epic narriative. We have collected here a series of video clips from the film with the sound track in Hebrew.

On March 29, 2014, the Charlotta Ensemble sang for the migrant community in Our Lady Woman of Valor Pastoral Center in Tel Aviv. One of the songs was “My God, My God”.

Arik Einstein sings a new song to mark Gilad Shalit's return home. In our communities, we continue to pray that Gilad will recuperate and find his place among us again. Let us also pray that his return home will bring peace and justice to all the residents of our country and to our neighbors too.

A friend from the Jerusalem kehilla sent us an interesting video clip on the origins of HaTikva, the Israeli national anthem.

T. from the Haifa kehilla sent us a beautiful video clip of Ehud Manor’s song “Tomorrow will arrive at midnight”.

The Israeli singer, Yoav Yitshaq, sings a song, "It is time to forgive" that is suitable as a prayer of pardon and forgiveness as we approach Yom Kippur.

On Monday, May 11, 2009, the Pope was received at the State President's residence. The beautiful ceremony included a rousing song for peace.

Leah Goldberg (1911-1970), one of Israel's greatest poets, died 43 years ago. She wrote a wonderful poem on prayer.
