The Feast of Our Lady Woman of Valor 2025

Last Saturday (10.05.25) the Pastoral Center of Our Lady Woman of Valor in Tel Aviv celebrated its feast. Here is a short report from this joyful event.

About 150 people gathered to celebrate the Eucharist. The main celebrant, Fr. David Neuhaus, was accompanied by ten priests, including the Vicar of St. James, Fr. Piotr Zelazko, and the Vicar of VMAS, Fr. Matthew Coutinho. The Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, Mrs. Aileen Mendiola-Rau honored the event with her presence.

Various groups of migrants were present: Filipinos, Indians, Sri Lankans, Ethiopians, Eritreans, and, for the first time, Hebrew-speaking children who study catechism at the center. They actively participated in the Mass, singing the entrance song, "Lord Have Mercy," and "Glory" in Hebrew. Guided by Luca and Neil, their performance was fantastic.

After the Eucharist, everyone was invited to a food party in the courtyard. Among the various kinds of food was a large table prepared by the parents of the catechism children under the guidance of Bhea.

Big thanks to all who helped to prepare the feast.
