Kaddish for Peres
A very interesting aspect of Shimon Peres’s funeral, on Friday, September 30, 2016, was the mourner’s prayer recited by his children.

In an article on YNET, Kobi Nahshoni explains that Peres’s daughter, Zvia Walden, recited the prayer, “mourners’ kaddish”, together with her two brothers, underlining that a woman can also take her place among the men reciting the prayer.
However this was not the only noteworthy point, she also insisted on using a version of the prayer that is common among Reform Jews. To the words, “He who makes peace in His heavenly heights, may He make peace upon us and upon all of Israel and let us say Amen”, Walden added, “may He make peace upon us and upon all of Israel and upon all human beings”.
