Youth Group Weekend in Ein Karem

We opened the meeting at the Monastery of the Sisters of Zion in order to celebrate together with them the feast of Our Lady of Zion with a Holy Mass.

The Eucharist was celebrated in English by HE Adolfo Yllana, the Apostolic Nuncio in Israel. The young people were surprised and excited when they saw that he was Filipino like them!

The Mass was very beautiful! Some of our young people also took part in the choir and sang and played together with Fr. Tiago.

After the Mass we ate dinner together and had the opportunity to talk and spend some time together. Later in the evening the group continued its program. Sister Regine met the group and told them her story; they asked questions, and it was really interesting!

After that we all gathered and went to the place of our accommodation - Casanova of the Franciscans. There we had an opening meeting and an explanation of the plan. We finished the day with board games and free time.

On Saturday we started the morning (after breakfast of course) with a trip to Ein Kerem where we visited the Russian church.

The youth liked the church but the difficult way there was not so attractive to them.... On the way back we had a short rest and lunch. In the second part of the day, we had an activity on motivation - what motivates me? The activity was divided into two halves - a part for everyone together and a more personal part. After that we continued with games and at the end, we went again to Fr. Tiago's monastery for Mass and that's how we ended the meeting.
