New English mass celebrated
On the first Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011, the new English translation of the mass went into use in the United States and many other English speaking countries.

The new translation of the Roman Catholic mass according to the Latin rite was prepared by a commission of experts in order to correspond more closely to the Latin original text and give clearer expression to the Biblical and Patristic heritage behind the words of the liturgy. The mass was celebrated for the first time in the United States and in many other English language countries.
The new translation (published in Australia) can be accessed on internet here
