On Monday, May 11, 2009, the Pope was received at the State President's residence. The beautiful ceremony included a rousing song for peace.

T.T. from the Haifa community has sent us a song about hope.

Ofra Haza was one of Israel’s most popular singers, until her tragic death at a young age. From a Yemenite family, she also sang many songs that were from the religious tradition of Israel and had a spiritual message. L.S. from the Haifa community has sent us some of these songs.

For the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, we published a series of links to his prayer set in song in English. It is perhaps interesting to note that the prayer has penetrated Israeli culture.

Shoshana Damari, who died in 2006, was one of the great voices that accompanied the State of Israel throughout the years. Originally from Yemen, she had a distinctive voice. We offer this tribute to her.

"Kazablan" was a 1973 musical that portrayed life in Israel as a mosaic of different communities and focused on a Morroccan gang led by Kazablan played by Yehoram Gaon.

Avraham Tal, a young Israeli musician, has produced a new album and the sixth song is a musical rendition of chapter 13 of Paul's First Epistle to the Corinthians.
