Interreligious Prayer in Beersheva on the last day of 2017

On the last day of 2017 the representatives of religious leaders of the Negev met in Beer Sheva church.

Two Jewish rabbis (Michael Graetz and Dikla Druckman), a Muslim shaykh (Khalil Albaz) and a Catholic priest (fr. Piotr) spoke about the meaning of "Peace" in their religions. There was also a time for questions from the public. At the end of the meeting all were invited to pray for the rain, since this yearthere is a threat of drought. Jewish, Muslim and Christian prayers were said with a lot of faith and devotion and surprisingly the very next day Beer Sheva was blessed by a quite huge amount of rain that watered the earth. This is a good presage for the New Year.

Happy 2018 from the Negev!
