Saint James Vicariate For Hebrew Speaking Catholics in Israel
Father Rafic Nahra – Latin Patriarchal Vicar
On Monday, October 23, 2017, it was announced that with the consent of the Holy See, Father Rafic Nahra has been named Latin Patriarchal Vicar, responsible for the Saint James Vicariate for Hebrew Speaking Catholics in Israel.
Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, named Father Rafic Nahra Latin Patriarchal Vicar. Father Rafic had been named priest in charge of the Vicariate following the resignation of Father David Neuhaus SJ.
Father Rafic is also the Coordinator of the Pastoral Among Migrants since his appointment on September 2, 2017.
We wish Father Rafic well in his new responsibilities and we hold him in prayer as he continues this important work of the Church in the Holy Land.
