On Friday, June 9, 2017, the children and staff at Saint Rachel gathered to bid farewell to Sister Birgitta, a sister from the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Mary Ward Sisters), who had been volunteering at the Center of Fridays. Sister Birgitta is from Hungary and has recently been appointed provincial of her congregation in her country of origin. We wish her every blessing on her new mission.

Father Iosif is a Jesuit from Rumania who came to do a semester of Biblical studies in Jerusalem. He too came on Fridays each week to spend time with the children and benefitted from being in a Hebrew speaking environment in order to progress in his own spoken Hebrew. He too will be returning to Rome to continue his studies.
