Yom Kippur Eve at Saint Rachel Centre

On Tuesday, October 11, 2016, the children spent the whole day at the Centre because it was the eve of the Day of Atonement and there was no school.

Today, Yom Kippur eve, we welcomed the older children who were on school holiday. We played together in the beautiful Liberty Bell Park. When we came back, before lunch, we were welcomed in the Capuchin chapel for a time of prayer. Daniel explained to all the children the meaning of Yom Kippur and stressed how, every day, we also can ask our heavenly Father for forgiveness. We can be reborn as new creatures and re-start our path to the Lord. These might seem difficult ideas, but the children fully grasped the joy and beauty of forgiveness.

From next Sunday, October 16, we expect many children who will come to the Centre to be together during the Succoth (Feast of Tabernacles) holidays in the company of the fantastic adventures of King Arthur.
