Solution to sadness

Benedetto, seminarian in the Saint James Vicariate, shares his thoughts.

sadness

A few days ago, the Church celebrated the memorial of Saint Thomas Aquinas, a giant figure among the saints who contributed greatly to the understanding of the mystery of God. Thomas did not only write about sublime matters but also about many themes that connect closely to the life of people. I discovered only the other day that among his writings are five points, which he identifies as a solution to sadness.

I would like to thank Bishop Boulos Marcuzzo from Nazareth for revealing this important discovery.

These are the five points:

1. Give yourself something that you like
2. Pour out your heart in tears
3. Share what saddens you or worries you with a friend
4. Contemplate the truth
5. Prepare for yourself a good bath and go to sleep.
