Jerusalem – Paris, a bridge of prayer

Following the hideous attacks yesterday in Paris, some French young people, staying in Jerusalem for various reasons, asked Father Rafic, responsible for the Jerusalem kehilla, to organize a prayer vigil in the Vicariate. Benedetto reports:

paris prayer

On Saturday evening, November 14, 2015, about 30 people gathered in the Saints Simeon and Anne House for a prayer vigil, full of pain and faith, with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on the altar.

During the prayer, the prayer for peace of Saint Francis of Assisi was read as well as the Passion in the Gospel of Saint Luke and Psalm 130 in French and Hebrew. Spontaneous prayer, the Our Father and Hail Mary brought the hour of prayer to a close during which those present joined themselves to those suffering in the world at such a dark time and we asked God for the gift of peace.
