Visit to the Syrian Catholics

On Sunday, November 8, members of the Jerusalem kehilla participated in the celebration of the Eucharist at the Syrian Catholic church in East Jerusalem. Bishop Pierre Melki celebrated the liturgy. He received us as brothers and sisters and welcomed us warmly both during the prayer and afterwards, when we sat together with the faithful to drink coffer and get to know one another.

During his homily, Sayyidna Pierre told us about the Synod of the Syrian Catholic Church that took place recently and dealt with many contemporary issues, especially the issue of the fate of the refugees from Iraq and Syria, who in many cases preferred to leave their homes and all their property, losing everything, rather than give up their faith. We want to carry them in our prayers.
