The meeting of Desert Flower took place on Friday and Saturday, June 12 and 13 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

We gathered at 17.00 in the Church of Saint Peter and then set off for a walk on the sea shore. We returned and gathered for a meeting with Father Apolinary who focused his talk on the Sunday readings and the connection between the readings and our day to day lives. Before the end of this meeting, Father Piotr asked us to read from these readings before going to sleep. After the meeting, we prepared dinner and after it we went out for a stroll. We returned for night prayer and each one took some silent time to read the readings as Father Piotr had asked.

On Saturday morning, at 8.00, we prayed and ate breakfast and then went to the beach where we enjoyed ourselves until noon. We returned to the monastery at about lunch time, which we prepared together. After a short time of rest, Father Piotr taught about the second part of the readings. After this lesson, we participated in the festive procession on the occasion of the Feast of Saint Anthony who is the patron of the main church in Jaffa.

Each one bade farewell to his or her brother and sister and we set off for the trip back home.
