Blessing and joy in the Congregation of our Lady of Sion and in our Communities

A great blessing was given to the Congregation of our Lady of Sion and to the Saint James Vicariate through the diaconal ordination of our brother Tiago Rangel Cardozo. For years, Tiago has been contributing a lot to our Hebrew Speaking Communities. He comes regularly to the Kehilla of Jerusalem, on Sunday, and adds beauty to our litugy as he plays the guitar and leads the songs with his powerful and beautiful voice. Several times he gave his energy and his time to help us in our activities with the children and the youth.

On Thursday, November 24, the church of the Ratisbon Monastery was full with faithful who came for everywhere, children and elders, to pray with Tiago and for him, on the day of his diaconal ordination by Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate. In his homily, the Archbishop pointed out to the special mission of the Congregation of our Lady of Sion to remind the Church that Jesus as well as his parents and disciples were all Jewish, and that the the Church finds the roots of her faith in the Torah and in the words of the prophets that she received through the sons of Israel.
