“God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” Gauthier and Remi say goodbye to Saint Rachel Center and our Kids.

Fr. Benny reports

After one year serving at Saint Rachel Center with our children, our two French volunteers, Gauthier and Remi, start their farewell. Arrived in 2019, they started to explore our reality and soon invested a big deal of energies to learn Hebrew. During this year they have worked very hard in our after-school program, helping and guiding our children in the 3-14 age.

We have all enjoyed their joyful presence among us and greatly appreciated their generosity when requested to work more, give more, and serve more. During the lockdown experience (March-May 2020) Remi and Gauthier lived in the Center with the children, and together with other adults, managed successfully the emergency, transforming it into a very positive experience for everybody.

On July 28th we gathered together to thank them and wish them good luck in their journey. We are sure that we will always stay connected, in love, prayer and good memories of this so special year for all of us.

We also wish them a successful return to their studies: engineering for Gauthier and theology for Remi. May God keep and bless them every day of their life.
